| | | Yesterday was the worst! | Fri Nov 23, 2007 8:10 am by danamas | Yesterday was one of if not the worst days for liquidity on my stocks I have seen! I checked in on the volumes and number of trades on my stocks and I couldn't believe how low the all were with a few exceptions. I will mention just one stock as an example even though numerous stocks had the same sad day. Mountain Boy Minerals had 4 trades all day of which the last two trades were for 500 and 100 shares, each well below market price! These two trades alone painted MTB's stock with a 30% down day on volume of about 6,000 shares as I recall! I tend to look at the number of trades more as an indicator of sector interest now rather than just volume although volume is important.
I have noticed a majority of my stocks trade fewer than 10 trades on the day recently. Sector interest is dismal to say the least. One day this will dramatically change.
