Vatukoula eyes expansion, plans N America listing

I posted this here because CZN is the second largest holder of shares in Vatukoula. Second only to Sprott.

From Mining Weekly...
"The company is also planning to apply for a secondary listing in North America, with the goal of improving its market value through greater exposure."It's down to valuations," Paxton said. "We are currently valued at $40/oz, while North American underground gold-mining companies are valued at $200/oz-plus."So the London market's just not giving us the valuation that I think we should have."Vatukoula shareholders will also vote next week on a proposal to consolidate the firm's shares on a 50-to-one basis, partly in preparation for the listing in North America. Paxton declined to comment on which exchange the company is looking at. Vatukoula's two biggest shareholders are Sprott Asset Management, with 18,3%, and Vancouver-based Canadian Zinc Corporation, with 15,4%."

Canadian Zinc Reports Net Income of $10.9 Million for Nine Months!

Nice chunk of money for a company who's mine is not even producing. I can't imagine how much CZN will be worth if it did! I'm glad they can't extract from the mine right now, not with silver at today's prices. With silver going to $50+ next year and CZN going into production then it will be time and when they do, I see them going for the jugular. The high grade silver zones. I see to many producers extracting their high grade silver thinking that silver is at an all time high when silver is still being (suppressed)!

robroy,

Thank you for keeping us in the loop on CZN. I still have lots of shares from my purchase about 2.5 years ago and I finally saw some green on my screen recently for a day or two.
It would be great to have them start producing when silver is out from any manupulation and before major inflation hits to maximize any depressed asset purchases (housing/land?)if we wanted to sell shares for that. After sitting on thess shares for so long I guess I'm dreaming of the perfect senerio.

Keith, You won't regret holding on to CZN. Did you see it hit .78 cents on Oct. 5&6? You will see more of the "green" in your portfolio soon. The markets are going to be very scary with highs and lows that will send us into the closet!

Thanks robroy for the links and for the warning.

I have kept many of my junior purchases that Bull liked from the last three years and I feel they will get merged or start climbing again as PM's take off.
Perhaps buy and hold is not the game today but I'm patient as long as I understand SOME of the reasons. Or course it would be easy to sell and put all procedes in GDXJ and just sleep better.

I will check back each week so thanks in advance.

"# Canadian Zinc Reports Net Income of $10.9 Million for Nine Months Marketwire(Mon Nov 8)

See the date? "Mon Nov 8" MarketWire may have messed up and could have been the cause of % increase today.. Up 7.69%.

The 8 is Wednesday and the link is broken or redirected to another story.

PostSubject: Nahanni Butte Dene Band   CZN Icon_minitimeMon Jan 24, 2011 4:45 pm

BIG NEWS just came out...

“Canadian Zinc is very pleased to have signed this important agreement with the Nahanni Butte Dene Band”, said Chairman, John Kearney. “This is a very positive step for the development of the Prairie Creek Mine. It is important that the Mine has the support of the local aboriginal community of Nahanni Butte and that those who live closest to the mine site and access road will be able to participate in and benefit from the Project.”

This was the "Band" that caused the most trouble for CZN moving towards production. The rest is down hill from here.

"The EA process is presently in a second round stage of Information Requests which will be followed by a Public Hearing. A decision from the Review Board is expected during the second quarter of 2011 and will then be forwarded to the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs and Development in Ottawa for ratification."

We are both sleeping better now Keith.

"NIA's third to latest stock suggestion Canadian Zinc (TSX: CZN) reached a new 52-week high today of $0.93 for a gain of 151% since we suggested it to you on July 28th at $0.37!"

It may drop to 82 cents or so after this pump wears off but, its looking good!
