Kenrich-Eskay Projects

Eskay Creek Project
Kenrich-Eskay Mining Corp. is a gold and precious metals exploration and development company. The companies activities are focused on its large holdings adjacent to Barrick Gold's Eskay Creek Mine located in northern British Columbia.

Barrick's Eskay Creek Mine Site
Barrick Gold's Eskay Creek deposit is the most important mineral deposit in the entire region and the fifth largest silver producer in the world.
By the end of 2002, the Eskay Creek mine had produced 2.25 million ounces gold, and 104.7 million ounces silver (grading 1.50 ounces per tonne of gold, and 68.3 ounces per tonne of silver). The Eskay Creek deposit also contains approx 3.2 % Pb, 5.2 % Zn, 0.7 % Cu.
The Kenrich-Eskay Corey claims, are 7 km due south of the operating Barrick Gold Eskay Creek mine and contain the same strike extensions of stratigraphic units present at Eskay Creek.
Kenrich-Eskay Mining Corp. is focusing its efforts towards discovering an Eskay Creek type transitional-deposit where rock units equivalent to those at Eskay Creek are present. Exploration of the Corey Property at Eskay Creek started in November of 2003.
Coastal Copper Project
The Coastal Copper property is a very promising new mining exploration project in a historically rich region of north coastal British Columbia. The land assembly is optioned 70% by Kenrich-Eskay with an agreement to earn up to 80%. The Coastal Copper project is an extensive land package that comprises more than 6,250 hectares of mining claims and completely encircles two of the region's former producing copper mines. The former producers are not included in this package, however, the prospective volcanic-sedimentary strata that host the massive sulphide geology are extensively exposed on the Coastal Copper land.

Drilling Commenced at Corey Property

Drilling commenced on June 25, 2007 at the Companys major 2007 program at its 100%-owned Corey Property south of the Eskay Creek mine. In the month since the program started, a total of 2300 metres of drilling have been completed in 10 drillholes. Due to the unusually high snowpacks and slow melting, the initial drilling has been confined to lower elevation sites. The first two holes were drilled at the Battlement area following up on the 2006 drilling of favourable Eskay-like stratigraphy and geochemically anomalous mudstone units. Additional drill targets exist at Battlement, but these will most likely be tested in the latter parts of the 2007 program when it is expected that weather conditions will preclude efficient work at high elevations. Eight holes have been completed at the Cumberland Cu-Pb-Zn-Au-Ag Zone. [color:9ef4=red:9ef4]This work is testing possible extensions along strike and down-dip of the massive sulphide mineralization intersected in the 2005 drilling program.
A second drill is being mobilized to the Corey Property on July 26. The focus of drilling will be shifting to the highest priority targets at higher elevations at the Smitty and South Unuk areas where highly geochemically anomalous mudstones were intersected in the 2005 drill programs. These areas are only now becoming sufficiently snow-free to work efficiently. The Mount Madge-South Unuk areas are considered particularly prospective since the rocks there lie in a favourable position stratigraphically above the C10 Zone which is an extensive gold-copper-zinc enriched hydrothermal feeder system that was drill-tested in 2005-06. In all, the Company has budgeted for up to 15,000 metres of drilling at Corey in 2007.
Kenrich-Eskay Mining Corp. is a precious and base metals exploration and development company. The Companys activities are focused on its large holdings at its Corey Property adjacent to Barrick Gold's Eskay Creek Mine and its Coastal Copper Project in the Anyox Mining Camp, both located in northwestern British Columbia.

Drill results are pending and imminent!

Reasons to be excited

Follow-up to the successful 2004 stream sediment geochemical survey is well underway. Rock sampling has identified bedrock with anomalous geochemistry in numerous locations, especially in the South Unuk, Cumberland and Virginia Lake areas, providing a confident definition of drill targets. For example, prospecting in Konkin Creek on the South Unuk Grid has identified a new zone of alteration and vein mineralization, which expands the area of gold-silver rich veining of the Double Mac zone. A selected sample of a thin massive sulphide-sulphosalt vein from this location returned assays grading 38.6 g/t Au, 2484 g/t Ag and 3.0% Cu. Three selected samples from Double Mac, located 100 metres away, from the 2004 program returned 3-5 g/t Au. Drilling commenced last week on this zone, employing the ultra-portable drill rig owned by the Company.

Quote :
Company geologists have now identified visible gold within the drillcore of hole CR05-17, from 145.5 to 147.0.m. This observation has been confirmed geochemically by a sample covering a 1.5m interval of drillcore that returned an overlimit value from the laboratory that is greater than 100ppm gold (this overlimit threshold reflects a concentration greater than 100 Grams/Ton Au

Quote :
This style of alteration is consistent with footwall or feeder zone style alteration below a volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit and is similar in nature to the extensive, altered gossanous zones occupying footwall rocks in the vicinity of the nearby Eskay Creek Deposit.

Quote :
The Geological team is pleased that these results have proven that their investment in systematic and thorough examination of all aspects of the geology has culminated in these initial successes and the formulation of a well-constrained model for Eskay-type mineralization on the Corey Property

ANYONE CARE FOR SOME HIGH GRADE< GOLD BEARING MASSIVE SULPHIDE?

I knew I shouldn't have sold them but after several years I got tired of waiting! Bought some other good prospects though.
