VANCOUVER, Oct. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - Geodex Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V: GXM - News; 'the Company') is pleased to report high-grade assay results from the first hole (SB-07-53) in the newly-discovered East Flank zone at Sisson Brook. This new zone was located during the 2007 drill program and lies at the eastern margin of Zone III which was the subject of resource estimates released in news releases of March 28, 2007 and October 17, 2007. Because of its relatively recent identification, the East Flank is not included in these resource estimates and will not be part of the Sisson Brook Scoping Study which will be published shortly. It testifies to the large size of the Sisson Brook mineralized system which continues to grow.
Results from hole SB-07-53, a -55 degree inclined, westerly directed hole set up on line 6+00S (0+25E) are as follows:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
SB-07-53 From To Intersection WO3 Mo

While tungsten assays (WO3) are consistent and in the range of the resource estimates, the molybdenum results are significantly higher and at least an order of magnitude higher over the 85.5 m intersection in the central part of the hole. SB-07-53 is the first in a series of eleven holes to test this zone over a strike length of 450 m from line 2+50S to line 7+00S. It is believed to be open to the south and has been drilled to a vertical depth of 220 m in this program. At the north end (line 4+00S), it appears to merge with the northern part of Zone III. In effect it extends the overall width of Zone III to the range of nearly 500 m in this area. Further assay results will be released when they become available.
In regard to other progress on the property, two drills are presently operating. One is engaged in scout drilling, metallurgical drilling and in completion of a 500 m deep hole on the east side of Zone III which will test the system at depth and again intersect the East Flank zone. This drill will be moved south at month-end to the projects surrounding the former Mount Pleasant mine where one drill is presently active. The second drill is continuing to drill fences of holes in Zone III between the fences drilled last year to enable upgrade of the resource to 'Measured and Indicated'. Fourteen holes remain in this program which will last until mid-December. Up to the third week in October, over 18,000 metres of drilling had been completed on the Sisson Brook property.
Results of a Scoping Study (Preliminary Economic Assessment) on Zone III will be released in early November. This will be based on the block model discussed in the News Release of October 17, 2007. As such, it is based mainly on 2006 drilling and does not include assay results from 75% of the 2007 drilling program which were not available when that block model was created. These will be added when the drilling program is complete and all assays have been received.
Jack Marr, M.Sc., P.Geo., is the in-house QP for this project.
