Hi all,

One to keep an eye on this week IMO is TXX. I am expecting news on their pending assays this week and I think it should be good for a quick move. As always do your own DD.

Cheers,

Assays Pending and Second Drill Now Working at Mirdita

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tirex Resources Ltd. ("Tirex") is pleased to provide an update on its exploration activities on the Mirdita Copper¬Zinc¬Gold Project in Albania.

DRILLING

At the Koshaj Deposit, drill holes 2, 3, 4 and 5 have been completed and logged. Confirmation has been received that samples from holes 2 and 3 have arrived at the laboratory in Canada. Samples from hole 4 are in transit and hole 5 is now being sampled on site. This first drill is continuing to define the Koshaj Deposit where the first hole intersected strong mineralization over 65m including intercepts of 0.9% Copper, 11.6% Zinc, 1.0% Lead, 141.6g/t Silver and 5.5g/t Gold over 14.1m including 2.3% Copper, 34.8% Zinc, 2.4% Lead, 376.1 g/t Silver, and 14.6 g/t Gold over 3.1m, and 0.8% Copper, 12.5% Zinc, 13.0g/t Silver and 2.2g/t Gold over 27.5m. (see Tirex news release dated March 3, 2008). The Koshaj Deposit is one of 17 known deposits on the property which were drilled and partially defined by the Albanian State Mining Company in the past. It was reported to be a zinc-rich deposit which was not mined because of a lack of zinc processing facilities. After Koshaj, this first drill will continue verification drilling on the Gurthi Central and Gurthi South Deposits.

The second drill is now beginning work at the North Shebe Target in the southern part of the property, 18km south of Koshaj. The North Shebe Target is a coincident airborne electromagnetic (EM) and induced polarization (IP) geophysical anomaly located on a critical mineralized rock horizon that has never previously been drilled. The introduction of the second drill is intended to accelerate the aggressive district¬wide exploration program. While the first drill will continue to work on verifying and expanding historic deposits, this second drill will be dedicated to testing new exploration targets generated by a combination of historical data compilation, results from the Tirex 2007 airborne geophysical survey and follow up of ground geophysical work.

GROUND GEOPHYSICS

In follow up to the successful airborne geophysics survey completed over the entire property last year, Tirex brought the powerful state¬of¬the¬art UTEM electromagnetic system to Mirdita. The Tirex airborne and UTEM surveys are the first time these technologies have been used in Albania. To date 45 line kilometers of UTEM surveying has been completed on a continually expanding grid north of the Koshaj Deposit along the projected mineralized belt. The initial UTEM lines were run over the known Koshaj deposit to test its response to the system which identified it as a distinct strong anomaly. A second strong UTEM anomaly was detected 600m east of and parallel to the Koshaj Deposit in an area of no previous drilling. Given its close proximity to the Koshaj Deposit and location in a prolific portion of the mineralized belt, this second UTEM anomaly has also been tagged as a priority drill target by Tirex. UTEM surveying is continuing and field reports indicate additional anomalies are being identified.

Tirex has also purchased a MaxMin electromagnetic unit which will be used for rapid reconnaissance geophysical surveying to better define survey areas for efficient follow up by the more powerful and deeper penetrating UTEM system.

George Gorzynski, P.Eng. and Director, states, "With two drills on the property now, we are able to continue detailed definition drilling of historic deposits and their extensions with the first drill, and test new blue sky exploration targets with the second. This aggressive combination will allow us to take advantage of the opportunities we have for both expanding the historic deposits and discovering new ones. VMS districts like Mirdita typically host clusters of deposits, large and small, and the more deposits and targets we can define and drill test in this phase of work, the better our chances of making major discoveries."

Tirex's focus is the exploration and development of the large 344 square kilometer Mirdita Property in Albania. The property is readily accessible by paved and gravel roads and is located 70 km north of the capital city of Tirana. The property covers the core of the historically productive Mirdita VMS base metal district. It represents an opportunity to explore copper, zinc, gold and silver zones that were previously partially mined, explored or evaluated at lower metal prices, and provides an opportunity to apply modern exploration techniques toward the discovery of new VMS deposits or extensions of known zones. In addition to the 17 historical deposits identified by previous state¬run exploration, Tirex has identified numerous high priority exploration targets resulting from the 2007 airborne geophysical survey and ongoing field work. The Mirdita exploration project is managed by an experienced team of Canadian geologists and other professionals, and several senior Albanian geologists, geophysicists and surveyors.

John Nicholson, P.Geo., a Qualified Person under the meaning of Canadian National Instrument 43-101 and Mirdita Project Manager, is responsible for the technical content of this news release. Drill core was HQ size (6.35cm diameter) and BTW size (4.20 cm diameter). Half core samples were collected with a rock saw, tagged for identification and securely stored at the Tirex base camp until shipment. A total of 5% assay standards and 5% blanks were inserted into the sample shipment as a quality control measure in addition to the internal quality control measures applied by the laboratory. All samples were shipped directly to Global Discovery Labs in Vancouver, Canada where they were dried, weighed, crushed and pulverized. A split of each pulp was then assayed for copper and zinc and a 30 gram split of each was assayed for gold and silver by standard fire assay.

Further details on the company and the Mirdita Project can be found on the Tirex website at www.TirexResources.com .
